CULLEN

is a singer, songwriter, director and movement artist based in Brooklyn. All of her artistic work feeds into her desire to tell stories and connect with her audience. Always seeking to communicate an honest human experience, she works with whatever mediums support the message. CULLEN’s sonic work sits between alt pop, indie rock and spoken word. In addition to her primary instrument, the guitar, she is proficient in several others, as well as recording software.

While most of her work as a musician is created solo, she deeply values collaboration and pursues artistic partnerships in much of her other work. CULLEN has a long history as a musician, actor, choreographer and dancer. She creates the movement for her own work and choreographs for music videos, narrative film and live musicals. In addition to her work as a solo artist, she founded and is the artistic director of cullen+them, a performing arts non-profit.
